Internal Communications Coordinator

In a nutshell
As part of the Communications & Engagement Team, you contribute to an engaging and inspiring work environment in which our ever-growing team of 20,000+ employees and 500+ team leads can get the best out of themselves. You’ll play a key role in developing and executing communication strategies for internal projects and employee initiatives, while managing the internal communication calendar around Picnic’s mission and values. Together with your colleagues from the International Communications & Engagement team, you will work towards our ultimate goal: making Picnic the best place to work for our employees!
Tricks of the trade

Strategic project communication: Develop clear, structured messaging for complex internal communications and company wide initiatives that impact our organization at scale.

Awareness campaign creation: Plan and run exciting campaigns that help us reach our business goals, whether that’s raising safety awareness or getting more employees to fill out our annual satisfaction survey.

Audience-first communication: Translate complex messages into understandable and engaging content, tailored to specific internal audiences across all levels.

Internal content production: You’ll craft and share internal updates to keep everyone in the loop and connected to Picnic!

Employee engagement enhancement: Help boost employee satisfaction and keep everyone engaged by making our internal communications clear, fun, and effective. You’ll make sure everyone feels part of Picnic.

Channel optimization: Improve the effectiveness of our communication channels - from Slack, PicnicTV to Teamwork app. Your job is to make sure messages actually get through and make an impact, so everyone stays engaged.

Stakeholder collaboration: Team up with stakeholders like the people, fulfillment, distribution, or safety teams. You maintain a structured feedback loop to ensure communication is relevant and well-received.
We’re looking for

Finished a Bachelor or Master’s degree (preferably in Communication, Communication Sciences, Journalism or similar).

Brings 1–3 years of relevant professional experience in internal communication, copywriting, or employer branding.

Is fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written. Basic knowledge of German and/or French is a plus.

Enjoys managing multiple communication projects simultaneously and is energized by clear planning, structure, and execution.

Has strong organizational skills and thrives in a structured environment. You like it when communication flows logically and efficiently.

Is a natural storyteller and copywriter: you can translate strategic goals into compelling narratives.

Understands and connects with diverse audiences; knows how to craft messaging that resonates.

Feels enthusiastic about the impact of (change) communications and employee communication in shaping company culture and employee engagement.

Gets excited by the idea of helping people feel connected to our mission, their teams, and their own potential.
